Attention All Dental Providers and Dental Clinics - Effective July 1, 2022, legislation was passed to increase the adult endodontic rates and the adult dental fee schedule. The new dental fee rates have not yet been loaded into the system. Claims with dates of service July 1, 2022, and forward are currently still being paid using the dental fee schedule that was in effect on June 30, 2022. Once the new rates are loaded, claims will systematically mass adjust to pay the new rate.
The mass adjustment cycle will be announced in an upcoming policy bulletin. Dental providers are reminded to submit claims with their usual and customary charges as the CMAP reimburses the lessor of the billed amount vs the allowed (fee schedule) amount.
