Think Cultural Health announces the release of the Cultural Competency Program for Oral Health Professionals (CCPOHP).
This is a free e-learning program that offers information and knowledge about cultural and linguistic competency specifically for oral health professionals, such as dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants. The CCPOHP is a 3-course program that will offer eligible oral health professionals the opportunity to gain up to six continuing education credits at no cost to them. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Minority Think Cultural Health, developed the CCPOHP, which is the first HHS Office of Minority Health e-learning program that is based on the enhanced National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) in Health and Health Care, published by the HHS Office of Minority Health in 2013. The National CLAS Standards help health and health care organizations implement culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
